#4. Bruges, Belgium
The Historic Centre of Bruges is all medieval, cobbled streets and gothic architecture. The Grand Place looks particularly lovely in the autumn light. You don’t need the historic Belfort to chime on the hour to tell you it’s beer o’clock in Belgium. It’s also famous for handmade chocolates and luxurious hot version – Chocolatier Spegelaere is family run and worth a visit. Make the most of your trip by taking the Eurostar and seeing the French and Flemish countryside in all its red and gold glory.
