Fall 2017 Ready to Wear. In fact the young eager shoppers who streamed in through the gates in cutoff jeans, fedoras, and ankle boots looked like they’d just driven in from a weekend at Coachella.
#1. Victoria Victoria Beckham
the designer showed up to her presentation at the Ritz in London wearing a look that was anything but body-con—an elegant blouse and a pair of silk dojo-style trousers. She seemed cool, calm, and collected. The designer has always had a soft spot for menswear-inspired tailoring, and for Fall she perfected the cut of her baggy pleated pants which sat high on the hip with a forgiving line. Beckham knows a good turtleneck when she sees one, and hers had a nice heft and structure to them. The palette was moodier than in seasons past, inspired, she said, by the cloudy gray skies of London. There were splashes of optimistic color too, including an oversize ribbed sweater in a mood-boosting shade of pepto pink.
