#3. Kale and banana smoothie
Kale is said to be one of the healthiest foods you can put in your mouth. Blending kale into a smoothie is a great way to get all the health benefits it has to offer absorbed very quickly into your system. This includes a great deal of energy from high concentrations of iron and other minerals. In fact, calorie for calorie, kale has more iron than beef. If you want this drink to be less bitter, remove the mid-rib and stems from the kale before you blend it as this is the most bitter part. However, these sections are perfectly edible so they do not need to be removed and they will add some more fiber. Also note, kale is usually sweeter in the cooler months.
